A Third Chapter Written in Living Green

A mangrove's sapling may begin as a small presence in the water, but its meaning reaches far beyond the shoreline. On 27 August 2026, PT Azbil Berca Indonesia returned to TWA Mangrove at PIK 2, North Jakarta, to continue an environmental program that has grown through consistency, participation, and shared responsibility.
The 2026 event represented the third consecutive year of the company’s mangrove planting initiative, which began at the same location in 2024. Returning to one conservation area gives the program a distinctive sense of continuity. Each annual visit becomes more than a stand-alone activity: it is another chapter in a long-term journey, connecting new participation with the efforts made in previous years.
This year’s program brought together representatives from across PT Azbil Berca Indonesia to take part directly in the planting process. Wearing the company’s SDGs activity shirts, participants moved through the mangrove area, entered the wet planting zone, and placed young mangroves among earlier plantings. The activity turned an environmental commitment into something tangible, hands-on, and visible.

“Sustainability becomes meaningful when commitment is repeated, participation is shared, and every action is given the opportunity to grow.”

Twelve new trees, one wider purpose

The FY2026 plan set out to add ten mangrove trees as a contribution to environmental conservation and ecosystem restoration. The value of the day, however, was not limited to the planting target. By experiencing the landscape first-hand, participants could see how individual contributions become part of a broader restoration effort, one rooted in patience and collective care.

FROM PARTICIPATION TO CULTURE

Growing Awareness Across the Company

The annual format also helps distribute sustainability awareness more widely across the organization. For the 2026 activity, the program was designed to involve employees who had not joined the 2024 or 2025 events. This approach allows the experience to travel from one group to another, turning a single environmental event into a growing network of informed colleagues and internal advocates.

Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals

Mangrove conservation supports the spirit of the Sustainable Development Goals by connecting climate action with the protection of coastal and terrestrial ecosystems. Within PT Azbil Berca Indonesia’s FY2026 SDGs program, the activity is positioned as a practical Climate Action initiative. The setting makes that purpose easy to understand: the company is not only discussing sustainability but also giving employees a direct role in environmental effort.
The event also demonstrates how corporate sustainability can be made personally. A participant who carries a sapling, steps into the water, and secures a young tree gains a different perspective from someone who only encounters sustainability through a presentation. The memory of the work, the landscape, and the team can help translate a global agenda into everyday awareness.

The value of returning

Going back to the same location for three years creates a meaningful narrative of progress. The 2024 activity established the starting point. The second event in 2025 extended the commitment. The 2026 program confirms that mangrove planting has become a continuing part of PT Azbil Berca Indonesia’s sustainability journey rather than a one-time gesture.

LOOKING AHEAD

Let Every New Root Carry the Commitment Forward

The most important result of the day is not only what was planted on 27 August 2026, but what the experience can inspire next: continued care, stronger environmental awareness, and further practical action across the company.

As the mangroves take root and develop over time, the company’s sustainability commitment can do the same. The third year of the program shows that meaningful environmental action is built through consistency. One day of planting becomes part of a three-year story. One group of participants becomes part of a wider company culture. One set of young trees becomes a visible reminder that responsible growth begins with the decision to keep showing up.
For PT Azbil Berca Indonesia, the 2026 mangrove planting activity is therefore both a continuation and a new beginning. It honors the work started in 2024, strengthens the momentum carried through 2025, and opens the next chapter of the company’s SDGs journey. Root by root, year by year, the commitment continues to grow.
